Cuddle Kitchen Vol.1, a resounding critical and public success, saw first single 'Chaps" getting added to over 1500 playlists on Spotify alone, to reach 100K+ streams. Supported by the likes of Jazz FM, BBC3, WorldWide FM and Soho Radio, it established Chris as an incredibly creative producer with an eclectic palette.
'Cuddle Kitchen Vol.2' continues to explore the melting point between jazz, soundtrack, ambient and electronica. Whilst taking us to darker yet enchanting places, Chris experiments with the use of samples. “With ‘Toon’ I wanted to explore constructing narratives with the use of dissonance; bringing together various unrelated samples in a way that they still found harmony when collected together” says Chris.
'Toon' showcases his growing abilities and talent as boundary-less producer. Based on samples from the classic film 'Who framed Roger Rabbit', it takes the listener into a trance-like journey through clever use of harmonic and rhythmic repetition, with tension gradually building, only to beautifully resolve to a soothing and satisfying end.
